Sulfuryl Fluoride Fumigation

The Sulfuryl Fluoride Fumigation process is used for heavy infestations that cannot be treated, effectively, on a local basis. Fumigation will eradicate all above ground infestations within a structure—when used in accordance with the manufactures label. The fumigation process takes 24-48 hours. Only a professional, licensed fumigator, with a good standing with the Structural Pest Control Board of California, should fumigate your property in Los Angeles, Orange County or Riverside.

The fumigation crew will tarp or seal the structure, release a warning agent into the home, and introduce a calculated amount of sulfuryl fluoride. After the fumigation is complete, the building is aired out, cleared, and tested with sensitive monitoring devices to confirm the safety of re-occupancy.

What is sulfuryl fluoride gas fumigant?
Sulfuryl fluoride is a colorless, odorless gas that quickly penetrates structural materials during fumigation. It is non-staining, non-corrosive and non-flammable. Sulfuryl fluoride quickly dissipates from the structure into the atmosphere and does not deplete the ozone.

What precautions are taken to ensure my family’s safety during the fumigation process?
Your professional fumigator will: Release a warning agent to deter entry to your home, secure all doors with locking devices, and use monitoring devices to ensure that the sulfuryl fluoride has dissipated, so you may safely re-enter your home.
